Orhan Bahadır Doğan is a marketing professor at Price College of Business, focusing on technology’s role in shaping marketing.

Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, I enjoyed the unique experience of living on the European side while commuting to the Asian side for my studies at Marmara University. I further expanded my educational horizons by studying abroad in Berlin, Germany, for a semester, courtesy of a full scholarship from the ERASMUS European Union Student Exchange Program. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I ventured to the United States to pursue my passion for marketing on a third continent. Here, I earned a full scholarship for my Master’s in Marketing, which I completed in just one year while working as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for International Business Education and Research at Georgia State University (CIBER).
After a year of working in the industry, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. degree at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. As an empirical marketing strategist within this program, I focus on addressing relevant marketing problems and proposing solutions using econometric models. My dissertation examines the effectiveness of wearable devices, utilizing digital nudges to enhance customer physical activity. Additionally, I have several working papers that explore the intersection of marketing and technology, which are detailed in the research tab on this website.
I am currently an assistant professor of marketing at the University of Oklahoma, Price College of Business.
I am a father to a Labrador retriever named Lale, and in my spare time, I enjoy playing racket sports and cooking Mediterranean cuisine.
